Delores Ramos, 57, of Yakima passed away Monday, June 11, 2007, at Yakima Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 2, 1949, in Toppenish to Faustino and Carmen (Rojas) Cervantes. Delores received her education and graduated from Granger High School.

On Dec. 2, 1967, she married Richard A. Ramos. Delores worked as a Junior Engineer at Hanford and later as a legal secretary.

She enjoyed cooking and playing bunko and bingo. Delores cherished time spent with her family boating and fishing. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in their sports activities.

Delores was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Yakima.

She is survived by her husband, Richard A. Ramos of Yakima; her children, Randy J. Ramos and wife, Patricia, of Richland, Suzan Ramos-Chavez and husband, Roy, of

Sunnyside, Tim Ramos and wife, Melody, of Moxee and Eddie Ramos of Yakima; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Carmen Rojas of Yakima; three sisters, Dora Moreno-Daniel and husband, Robert, of Mount Vernon, Carmen Davila and husband, Art, of Walla Walla and Helen Lopez and husband, George, of Toppenish.

She was preceded in death by her father, Faustino Cervantes; special aunt, Hermina Hernandez; an uncle, Nicholas Cervantes Sr.; two granddaughters, Natalie Zack-Ramos and Melody Shay Jim; and one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Chavez.

Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 15, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Granger, with burial to follow at Zillah Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
