Jose Luis Andrade, 49, of Eugene, Ore., a former Sunnyside resident, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2007.

He was born April 12, 1957 in Edinburg, Texas to Pedro and Lorenza (Flores) Andrade. He graduated from Sunnyside High School with the class of 1976. He attended college for one year.

Joe worked as a manager of a warehouse at the Tacoma Dome. He had also worked as a chef at the Hilton in Seattle.

He married Jane Mantes in 1975 in Sunnyside. He married his second wife, Vikki Phillips, in 1994 in Tacoma.

He is survived by Vikki L. Andrade; his children, Jose Luis “Joey” Andrade Jr. of Hermiston, Ore., Gerald D. Andrade and Albert J. Andrade, both of Nampa, Idaho, Cindy Barber and Larry Barber, both of Tacoma; his siblings, Nora Ochoa of Mission, Texas, Juan Gonzales of Sunnyside, Albert Andrade of Pasco, Ricardo De la Rosa of Chiloquin, Ore., Pedro De la Rosa of Lawton, Okla., T.J. Javier Tijerina of St. Helens, Ore. and Felipe Tijerina of Tacoma; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2007, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with funeral services following at 2 p.m. at West Lawn Funeral Home in Eugene, Ore.
