Elizabeth C. Davis, 88, of Sunnyside and a former Mabton resident, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, in Sunnyside.

She was born on March 13, 1918, in Terre Haute, Ind., the daughter of Joseph (Monroe) and Beatrice (Williams) Porter. On Nov. 15, 1941, she married Herbert Davis in Yakima. They moved to Mabton in February of 1943, where she lived until 1974. She retired from Twin City Foods in Prosser, in 1980.

She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Kiser and husband, Greg, of Centralia; one son, Jerry Davis and wife, Barbara, of Bickleton; one sister, Edith Roberts of Olympia; and two brothers, Ted Porter of Othello and Jim Porter of Olympia; and grandchildren;.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Davis, in 1965; two sisters, Rebecca Tschritter and Beatrice Baxter; three brothers, Joseph (Bud) Porter, Wilson (Bill) Porter and Jack Porter.

Inurnment will be held at Grandview Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
