Fernando “Fred” Fernandez,
43, of Sunnyside “and don’t you forget it”, as he would say, passed away
Thursday, March 15, 2007, in Sunnyside.
Fred was born Oct. 18, 1963,
in Yakima, to Pablo and Celia (Salinas) Fernandez. He attended Sunnyside
schools, and graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1981. Fred was a graduate
of Central Washington University. He worked in floor covering.
Fred loved life. In his
spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also had a
passion for playing the guitar, fishing and performing magical tricks.
He was a member of St.
Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside, where he served as an altar boy as a
child. He had a good sense of humor with his favorite phrase being, “Do you
I’m ripped”, while showing his flexed
He will be missed by his
family and friends. His grandson,

He is survived by his
mother, Celia Salinas of
; his father, Pablo
Fernandez of Texas; a son, Raymond Ray Fernandez Strong of
Fernandez of Grandview and
five sisters, Juanita Clifford of Everett, Rosa Linda
, and Rachel
Fernandez, all of
and Nelly Hernandez of
; and a grandson,
Fernandez of Grandview.
Viewing will be held
Saturday, March 17, 2007, and Sunday, March 18, 2007, from 1 until 8 p.m., with
a recitation of the Rosary at 6 p.m. on Sunday at Valley Hills Funeral Home
. Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated Monday, March 19, 2007, at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in
, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial
