Two popular Easter Egg hunts on tap for April 7

The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance in Sunnyside soon.

Two Easter Egg hunts are scheduled for Saturday, April 7.

The first hunt will be hosted by the Sunnyside Recreation Department. It will be held at South Hill Park for children ages six and younger. Arts and crafts projects will begin at 9 a.m. and the hunt for wrapped candy is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. But, the adults cannot assist the children during the hunt.

Children need to bring their own basket to the event.

The second Easter egg hunt will be at Darigold's Dairy Fair, located at 400 Alexander Road.

Dairy Fair will have a 10 a.m. hunt for children two and younger, a 10:15 hunt for 3/4-year-olds, a 10:30 hunt for 5/6-year-olds and a 10:45 a.m. hunt for children 7 to 9 years of age.

A sack or basket for each child must be provided by those participating, and each of the more than 5,000 eggs will have a treat, coupon or prize.

The Sunnyside Fire Department, Sunnyside Police Department, local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and the Yakima Valley Dairy Ambassador will be on hand to assist in the event.

This is the 11th year of the Dairy Fair Easter egg hunt.
