In just over two weeks a second water line break occurred at Sunnyside's Central Park.
At approximately 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, Public Works Director Jim Bridges was alerted to the water line break in Central Park.
He said another break had occurred Saturday, April 28. "This one was not as bad. But, we haven't figured out the cause of the breaks yet."
The piping used at Central Park is four-inch PVC piping and approximately 90 pounds of pressure has been pumped through them.
The most recent break flooded the south end basin of the park and public works crews shut off the water as soon as possible.
"The parts will be ordered and received today (Wednesday)," said Bridges. "Repairs will be with high pressure pipes used for drinking water to prevent further breaks. We will be doing the repairs tomorrow."
