Carol Ann Hunt, 68, of
Hulett, Wyo. went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, surrounded
by the love of her family at Pioneer Manor in Gillette, Wyo.
Carol was born Dec. 25, 1938, in Mankato,
Minn. to Gwendolyn E. Toupal and Charles S. Anderson.
She enjoyed being in the
company of her family and friends, and she always had an encouraging smile and
hug for anyone who looked her way.
Her entire life was based on
serving others and the Lord. She touched countless lives with her giving
nature. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by five
children, Charles S. Anderson of West Richland, Larry L. Backen and wife, Lori,
of Hulett, Kathryn G. Backen of Ellensburg, Kimberly K. Martinez of Sunnyside,
and Thomas J. Hunt and wife, Brandy, of Prosser; 19 grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Anderson and wife, Darlene and Leland
Hermance and wife, Connie; and one sister, Noel Kuhn and husband, Ed.
Carol raised her
granddaughter, Cassandra Backen from birth. Her granddaughter, Nicole A.
Garcia, cared for her during her time of illness.
Mom, thanks for waiting for
us to say goodbye. We know that this is not the end. Death has no victory.
Thanks for your unconditional love, guidance, and patience for each of us to
discover Jesus for ourselves. Your faith never wavered and we saw that each
time you walked through a valley in your life. We love you, and we’ll think of
you every time we see a crossword puzzle or word search book.
A memorial service will be
held Saturday, May, 26, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church, 1801
Patterson Road, Prosser.
