Socorro Lepez, 43, of Albany Ga. and a former Sunnyside resident, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, in Albany.

He was born in Coalcoman, Mexico to Teodoro and Gregoria Lepez.

He lived in Sunnyside for 27 years before moving to Georgia in 2003, to work in agriculture.

He is survived by his parents, Teodora and Gregoria Lepez of Sunnyside; his wife, Conception Cortez of Albany, Ga.; two daughters, Maria Lepez and Elvida Lepez, both of Albany; two sisters, Gracia Lepez of Sunnyside and Patricia Lepez of Tri-Cities; and two brothers, Jose Lepez of Seattle and Elicio Lepez of Sunnyside.

Viewing will be held today, Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside, with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.

Valley Hills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
