Helen H. Harrison, 96, of Yakima, formerly a long-time Sunnyside resident, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at Parkside Nursing Care Center in Yakima.

She was born Nov. 26, 1910, in La Junta, Colo. to Manford W. and Ida May (Croussore) Inskeep.

On Dec. 19, 1928, she married Evert Harrison in Greeley, Colo. In 1946, they came to the Yakima Valley.

She had worked for Washington Co-op turkey plant, Hickenbottom, and other various warehouses in the Valley.

She is survived by two sons, Bernard D. Harrison and wife, Marilyn, of Yakima and Maynard W. Harrison and wife, Jane, of Platteville, Wis.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Evert, in 1965; five sisters; and four brothers.

Viewing and visitation were held today, Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, with graveside services held today, at 11 a.m. at the Sunnyside Cemetery.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
