Anita L. Guzman, 53, of Granger died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007.

She was born Aug. 17, 1954, in Edinburg, Texas to Galdino and Dominga Cantú. At the age of seven she and her family moved to Crewport, and then finally settling in Granger.

She is survived by her children, Andrea V. Cantú and Autumn D. Cantú, both of Yakima, Alvin L. Guzman and his wife, Amanda, of Sunnyside, Aidan M. Guzman of Walla Walla and Anthony C. Guzman and Adreeana Cantú, both of Granger; four grandchildren; her siblings, Leonardo Cantú, Anselmo Cantú, Roberto Cantú, Galdino Cantú, Jr., Atilano Cantú, Pedro Cantú, Miguel Cantú, Antonio Cantú, Andres Cantú, Samuel Cantú, Maria De La Luz Cantú, Francisca Ovalle, Beatrice Cantú, Manuela Cantú, Oralia Cantú, and Delia Cantú; and her father, Galdino Cantú.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Juan Cantú; her sisters, Estella Cantú, Bertha Cantú, and Sandra Cantú; and her mother, Dominga Cantú.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, from 1 to 8 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Granger. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Yakima.

Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah is in charge of arrangements.
