Jean Pierre Wilson 51, of Sunnyside passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Memorial Hospital, in Yakima.

He was born March 29, 1956, in Yakima to Harold and Irene Wilson. Jean was raised in Sunnyside and lived here most of his life.

He worked for KARY radio station in Prosser for 17 years.

Jean earned an associates degree from Heritage College. After working as a security guard, he attended the police academy near Seattle. He served as a police officer in many Washington communities including Sunnyside, Zillah, Granger, Odessa, and Oroville over an 11-year span

Jean had a passion for computers. Much of his time was spent building and working on them.

Jean is survived by his mother, Irene Wilson of Sunnyside; two brothers, Darryl Zane Wilson and wife, Joyce of Sunnyside and Patrick Kevin Wilson of Yakima; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside funeral services for Jean Pierre Wilson will be held Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at 2:30 p.m., at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside. A potluck will follow at Bethel Community Church, 1018 North Avenue, Sunnyside. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
