Philip A. Marro, 77, of Spokane passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, in Spokane.

He was born May 26, 1930, in New York, N.Y. to Ralph and Mollie Marro (Pretto).

Philip was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a security police. He received his degree in elementary education and taught in Mabton.

Philip enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, cruising in his motor home and spending time with the lunch group at the Opportunity Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pansey; six children, Debbie Marro, Theresa (Rickey) Everts, Anthony (Susan) Marro, Catherine (Robert) Hodge, Michael (Teresa) Marro and Mark (Heather) Marro; 14 grandchildren, Seth, Christopher Nicholas, Christopher Michael, Philip, Daniel, Joshua, Victoria, Brian, Laura, Hannah, Angela, Sarah, Josie and Madison; and his brother, Ralph (Angelina) Marro.

He was preceded death by his daughter, Angela; and a brother, Jerry Morro.

He has been the best husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed forever. We love you, Dad.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, from 1 to 5 p.m., at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, 1315 N. Pines Road, Spokane, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 304 S. Adams Road, Spokane. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at 2:30 p.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Pines Cemetery, with a reception to follow at St. Mary's.

Hennessey Valley Funeral Home and Crematory in Spokane is in charge of arrangements.
