Hutchins, Hidalgo top finishersin annual President's Cup tourney

Gary Hutchins and Antonio Hidalgo topped the field this past Sunday in the annual President's Cup competition at Sunnyside's Black Rock Creek Golf Course.

Hutchins won going-away by carding a 1-under-par 71. The closest golfer to him was runner-up Juan Guerrero, who finished with a 4-over-par 76. Claiming third and fourth place honors in the tourney were Louis Alcala and Gene McIntire, who carded rounds of 77 and 79, respectively.

On the net side (actual score minus handicap), Hidalgo edged Miles Plata for top honors. Hidalgo shot an 82, five strokes below his scoring average, netting a handicap-aided 67. Plata was second with a net-68. Tying for third place net honors with identical, handicap-aided 70's were Don Cardenas and Don Patteson.
