William "Bill" A. Johnson, 33, of Sunnyside passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008, at his home after a three-year battle with cancer.

Bill was born Nov. 19, 1974 in Sunnyside. He lived his entire life in the Washington area, mostly in and around Sunnyside.

He married in July 1993. He drove a truck both locally and cross country.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry Johnson (Melody) of Nashville, Tenn.; his wife, Cherie Johnson of Sunnyside; their children, Tracey (16), Stephen (14) Bill Jr. (12) and Jessica (10); his long-time companion, Elizabeth Crank, their son, Derrick (1-1/2) and baby Kevin expected in June; his loving aunts, Colleen (Bruce) Taylor of Odessa, Texas, Lois (George) Hackworth of Four Lakes and Terry (Conrad) Hamil of Grandview; several cousins; and nephews, Michael (21) of Sunnyside, Christian (16), Skylar (11), Caleb (6), all of Nashville, Tenn., Brittani (10), Devin (7), both of Sunnyside; and Jayden (3), of Prosser.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheila M. Furgerson; his father, Jerry L. Johnson Sr.; and his sister, Tracey Colleen Johnson.

At the request of the deceased, the remains will be cremated. There will be a visitation with family on Thursday, April 10, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside.
