Mabton's not corrupt. I can not believe that the issues in Mabton have come to this.
We have a city council vs. the mayor and bringing out issues that should have been taken care of during an executive session.
What about all the budget problems in Mabton? Where has the entire council been for the past three years? All of the council should have been on top of all the finances going in and out of the city, but your blame is on the mayor.
Who was invited to this private meeting of the community? I wasn't and I've lived here all my life. As a member of the community trying to do some good here with the Community Center, I wish that we would have had as many volunteers helping at the center doing clean-up or signing up to help one way or another instead of going to this meeting.
You the organizers of this meeting allowed Maria Rodriguez-Salazar of the League of United Latin American Citizens to come in and say "It's probably one of the most corrupt communities. I thought Granger had its problems, but Mabton is the one of the worst."
I don't believe that the city is corrupt and if it is the entire council is to blame, not just the mayor of Mabton.
