Breaking News: Outlook residents escape harm in drive-by shooting



Enedino Medrano Carlon, 78, of Sunnyside passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Yakima Regional Hospital.

He was born May 14, 1930 in San Francisco, Michoacán, Mexico to Vicente Medrano Garcia and Teodora Carlon Garcia.

In 1949 he married Elda Pineda in Mexico. He worked as a farm laborer. He enjoyed playing the guitar, reading and writing, studying the Bible and taking walks. He cherished time with family and friends. He was a member of the Sunnyside Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Elda Pineda; three sons, Bolivar Medrano, Manuel Medrano and Fernando Medrano; one daughter, Irma Medrano; 16 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Celia Medrano, Alicia Medrano, Patricia Medrano and Maria Medrano.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vicente Medrano.

Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church on Scoon Road in Sunnyside. Burial will be at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.

Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements.
