Edythe Marie Harris, 72, of Battle Ground and a former Mabton resident, passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008.

She was born April 19, 1935 in Mabton to Walter and Dina Fordyce. She graduated from Mabton High School with the class of 1953.

She married Dick Harris on July 9, 1953 in Mabton.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Harris of Battle Ground; two sons, Rich Harris and Scott Harris, both of Battle Ground; one daughter, Dana Gumringer of Vancouver; two brothers, Jim Williams and Glenn Fordyce, both of Battle Ground; nine grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and one brother.

A memorial and celebration of life for Edythe Harris will be held Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Grace Brethren Church in Mabton.
