Julian Flores, 23, of Grandview passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at Sunnyside Community Hospital.

He was born Feb. 24, 1985 in Sunnyside to Humberto and Zenaida (Garcia) Flores. He received his education in Muscatine, Iowa.

On Feb. 14, 2000, he married Isabel Flores in Muscatine. He worked at a machine shop for several years.

He enjoyed music, playing video games, basketball and poker. His favorite movies were A Night at the Roxbury and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. He cherished time spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Isabel Flores of Grandview; his children, Ashley Jaylene Flores, Esme Athena Flores and Jazzmyn Alize Flores, all of Grandview; his parents, Humberto and Zenaida Flores of Grandview; his siblings, Thomas Maciel of Seattle, Maria Gonzales, Sandra Moreno, Rosalinda Torres, Humberto Flores Jr., Marcos Flores, Victor Flores and Jose Felix Flores, all of Grandview, Beatriz Perales of Outlook, Juaquin Maciel of Sunnyside, Juan Manuel Maciel of Mabton, Juana Soliz of Zillah, Mathilde Flores of Prosser and Erik Flores; his grandparents, Felix and Sofia Flores of Grandview; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Sanchez; and one nephew, Thomas Robert Maciel III.

Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008 and

Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, from 1 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Grandview. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview.
