Laura Anna Krueger, 101, passed from here to her heavenly home Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008.

She was born Sept. 21, 1906 in Naches. She was one month short of her 102nd birthday.

On Dec. 8, 1928, she married Roy Rudolph Krueger and lived for many years in the Sunnyside area. They were both active in the Grace Brethren Church before moving to the Seattle area to be closer to most of their children. Friends and family were recipients of her cooking, sewing and gardening skills along with her gentle humor. She loved pussy willows, sweet peas, chocolate cake and children.

She is survived by three sons, John (Joan) of Seattle, Richard (Phyllis) of Snohomish and Stanley (Glenda) of Hamilton, Mont.; one daughter, Alice (Gale) McClurken of Everett; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Laura's life will be held Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
