A gentle voice whispered softly, "I feel your weakness of tiredness, your suffering of pain. I've opened the gates to Heaven and said come home my son."

Domingo Anciso, 81, a longtime Sunnyside resident passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland.

He was born April 10, 1927 in Mercedes, Texas to Perfecto and Juanita Anciso. He received his education in Texas.

In June of 1944 he married Feliciana "Stella" Gonzales in Mercedes. In 1949 the family moved to Mabton where they made their home until moving to Sunnyside in 1959. His wife, Stella Anciso, passed away on March 19, 1998.

He worked for Pacific Coast Nursery and Bailey Nursery and for 12 years worked for Chris and Cliff Van Belle Farms.

He is survived by his three sons, Bobby Anciso of Salem, Ore., Ray Anciso (Janie) and Roy Anciso (Elvira), all of Sunnyside; grandchildren, Lisa Tolento, Lori Anciso, Tammy Anciso, Shadie Anciso, Ray Anciso Jr., Danny Anciso (Terra) and Stefani Anciso; and great-grandchildren; Lauren and Sofia Tolento, Tyler Ashley, Alexandra and Devon Anciso and Tayran Ray.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Anciso; parents, Perfecto and Juanita Anciso; one sister, Catalina Anciso; and two brothers, Raymundo and Guadalupe Anciso.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. at "Iglesia Evangelica Fortaleza De Sion", 805 Franklin Ave., Sunnyside.
