Clinton powers Lady Pirates to 56-39 win

BICKLETON - Bickleton's varsity girls basketball team powered out a 56-39 win against Liberty Christian's JV last night.

"Our kids went up a level last night. They made plays like they were asked, they did what I asked them to do," said Bickleton Coach Ric Palmer.

Lady Pirate Caitlyn Clinton was on fire last night, scoring 32 points, collecting 16 boards, blocking six shots and stealing the ball five times.

Teammate Starr Kibby chipped in 13 points and grabbed six rebounds in the game against Liberty Christian.

"She's a quick girl. We have some designed plays for that position and it worked," he said, adding that her teammates did fairly well at transition plays, setting up Kibby for lay-ups.

"We were never in trouble," said Palmer. "I think at one point were up by 22 points. After that, we had about 12 to 15-point lead.

The Lady Pirates (3-0) play this Saturday at Kaholotus.
