Lillian Eloise Chandler, 82, of Grandview passed away at her home on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, surrounded by her loving family.

Lillian was born on June 14, 1925 in Lucas, Iowa, the daughter of George Mathew and Effie (Vorhees) Lane. Lillian received her education in Lucas. In 1942, she with her family moved to Oregon for a short time before settling in the Yakima Valley.

On June 16, 1943, she married Roy Harold Chandler in Yakima. The Chandler's made their homes throughout the Yakima Valley from Selah to Prosser. In 1982, they settled in Grandview.

Lillian was a member of the First Christian Church in Sunnyside, and a TOP's member for more than 20 years.

In her younger years, Lillian enjoyed fishing and camping. She also spent many hours reading, sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Roy H. Chandler of Grandview; one son, Robert Chandler of Grandview; two daughters, Shirley Mae Marchbanks of Springfield, Ore. and Judith Ann Van Atta (Dennis) of St. Paul, Ore.; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edna Johnston of Yakima.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Ronald, Edwin and Edward; two brothers, Herman Lane and Edwin Lane; and one sister, Myrtle Hartshorn.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Sunnyside.
