Breaking News: Outlook residents escape harm in drive-by shooting



Goldie Mae Skidmore, 81, of Prosser and a former Mabton resident, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 7, 1926 in Missouri to Harvey and Opal (Andrews) Perry. She received her education in Missouri.

She married John Skidmore on Nov. 16, 1946 in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

She is survived by her husband, John Skidmore of Prosser; one sister, Marie Gilbert of the Tri-Cities; three brothers, Lewis Perry, Harvey Lee Perry and Raymond Dale Perry, all of Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and her stepmother, Daisy Bell Perry.

Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, from 1 to 5 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services to follow at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Burial will be held at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
