Jessie Junior Burson, 78, of Yakima passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 28, 1929 to Jesse B. and Callie Virginia (Tindal) Burson in Des Moines, N.M. On July 5, 1947 he married Norma Langford in Los Lunas, N.M. Jessie served in the United States Army for over eight years and served four years in Korea. He later worked as a farm laborer for over 50 years. Jessie enjoyed cars and spending time with his family.

Jessie is survived by his wife, Norma Burson of Yakima; four sons, Walter Burson, Davey Burson, Ronald Burson and Bruce Burson; and three daughters, Paula Harrington, Ann Burkepile and Sally Burson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Pamela Sue Burson; and four sisters.

At Jessie's request no formal funeral services will be held. An inurnment in New Mexico will be held at a later date. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
