Aniceto (Andy) Flores, 90, of Prosser died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008. He was born Dec. 3, 1917 in San Benito, Texas to Louis Cantu and Isabel Cavazos (Gomez) Flores.

He worked in agriculture.

On Sept. 12, 1936, he married Petra Reyes Acuna. They moved to the Prosser area in 1950. In 1954, his wife, Petra died. He married his second wife, Jovita in 1959 in Texas.

He is survived by his two sons, Sonny Flores (Kathryn) and John Flores (Karen), all of Prosser; one daughter, Norma (Flores) Gonzalez (Joe) of Grandview; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Cosme Flores; and three sisters, Margarita, Enriqueta and Lidubina, all of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Petra and Jovita; one brother; and one sister.

Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Grandview. Graveside services will be held Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the East Prosser Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor his memory may contribute to the Andy Flores Memorial Fund at American West Bank.
