As many as 44 possible fraud victims in Grandview case

GRANDVIEW - Following the arrest of two women this past Friday for felony fraud, Grandview police now suspect there may be as many as 44 different victims of mail theft.

Grandview police arrested 47-year-old Judy Jennings after a banker became suspicious of a check she was trying to deposit into a questionable bank account. During the investigation, police also arrested Priscilla Sandoval, 24.

Police obtained a search warrant for two residences in Granger. It was there that they found mail intended for addresses in Oregon, Moses Lake, Selah, Granger, Toppenish and Grandview.

Grandview police said they will now send letters to the potential 44 victims alerting them of the find.

Jennings and Sandoval have been charged with possession of stolen property and fraud. Identity theft charges may be added for Sandoval if the potential victims confirm their mail was stolen.
