Margaret Anne Willis Cochran, 91, died Friday, July 4, 2008, at Yakima Regional Hospital in Yakima.

She was born May 16, 1917 in Zinc, Ark. to Matt and Ollie (Killebrew) Willis. She met William J. (Jack) Cochran while in high school and they married on Sept. 30, 1936.

In 1947 the family moved to Yakima. She and Jack moved to Prosser in 1964 where she assisted in the daily operation of a corporate cherry orchard. She had lived at Sun Terrace Assisted Living in Prosser for the past six years.

She is survived by her husband, Jack; sons, David A. Cochran and John E. Cochran; daughter, Corinn K. Root; 15 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Private gravesides services will be held under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Grace Fellowship in Prosser.
