Lower Yakima Valley students named to YVCC honor roll

Each quarter, Yakima Valley Community College recognizes outstanding academic achievement by placing students on the President's honor roll list or the Dean's honor roll list.

To qualify for the president's list, students must earn a quarterly grade point average of 3.40 to 3.84 with a minimum of 12 graded credits.

To be listed on the dean's honor roll, students must achieve the same academic standards.

Part-time students are also included on the two lists after they have completed 12 credits and they have met the grade point average requirements.

Sunnyside students named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 quarter include Delilah Ann Bermudez, Lucia M. Bravo, Angelica Campos, Angela M. De La Barrera, Marina Martinez, Rosalinda Perez, Maricela Rivera, Tyler T. Thompson, David E. Torres, Hunter Van de Graaf, Thomas Warren and Katelyn E. Wutzke.

Javier Alvarez, Daniel Clara, Trina Collins, Breanna Hoffard, Celia Pedroza, Juan Penaloza, Anna Solis, Crystal Spradlin, Joana Vasquez and Edith Vergara of Grandview were also named to the dean's list.

From Granger, Hailey Alexander, Ben Jochen and Keely Nunez were all named to the list, and Mabton's Elida Farias was included among those qualifying for the dean's list.

Erin Ellis of Bickleton and Prosser's Joseph Elerding, Nathan Krebs, Susana Macias, Jaimie McLemore, Sandra Pedroza, Amber Thiemann and Sharlene Vowels were named to the Yakima Valley Community College dean's list, as well.

Students from Sunnyside, who were named to the president's list, include Kari Alvord, Dulce Cerda, Yan Couturier, Jennifer Garcia, Rhonda Lyons, Heidi Southern and Kimber Tucker.

From Granger, Natalie Norwood and Julio Ramirez were named to the president's list, and Mabton's Lorena Ramirez was also included on the list.

Two Prosser students were named to the president's list as well. They are Andrew Pine and Deangela Warren.
