GHS reunions planned

GRANDVIEW - Several reunions for Grandview High School alumni are in the works.

The class of 1953 is hosting a 55-year reunion Aug. 8-9. On Friday, Aug. 8, a casual dinner is planned at the home of Denzil Faulk. Registration and a social hour is planned for 4 p.m., with dinner to follow at 5:30. On Saturday, Aug. 9, a breakfast will be hosted at the home of Martin and Pat Puterbaugh, followed by the all alumni picnic at Westside Park at noon. Lunch will be catered for the class of 1953. That evening, a social hour and dinner will take place at Snipes Mountain Brewery in Sunnyside at 5 p.m. For more information, contact Margie McGhan at 882-2019 or Nancy Mears at 894-4907.

Also on Aug. 8 and 9, a reunion is planned for the class of 1955. Registration is slated for 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, at Countryside Catering. Refreshments and a get reacquainted session will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. A group photo will be taken at 3. A prime rib or chicken dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Graduates of the class of 1955 will then meet at the all alumni picnic at Westside Park on Saturday at noon. The class of 1958 will celebrate its reunion Sept. 5-7. A social will take place at the home of Pete Olmstead on Friday, Sept. 5. On Saturday a wine tour and dinner at The Barn Restaurant in Prosser is planned. On Sunday, Sept. 7, breakfast will take place at the Flour Shop in Grandview. The class of 1968 will celebrate its 40th reunion at Countryside Catering on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 5 p.m. For those who plan on attending, email or call 882-4933.
