Donna Rae Gribble went to be with our Lord April 3, 2008.

She was born Nov. 23, 1938 in Sunnyside to Roy and Leo Flath.

She loved to travel with her husband and little dogs. They would spend the winter in Mexico and summer in northern California. She was a hard-working homemaker, living on a farm most of her sons' youth. She kept her sons involved in sports and Scouts through the years. She encouraged many activities for her family.

She bartended at the Dark Horse Inn in the 70s and also worked at the Elks Lodge in Sunnyside. Then she worked at Country Club in Yakima as a bartender and waitress. Her very first job was at the Fred Mutch Pharmacy in the early 1960s. In 1977 she moved to Alaska and worked at Yancey Derringers in Ketchican.

She is survived by her husband, David T. (Ted) Gribble; four sons, Terry Merck of Toppenish, Roger Merck of Grandview, Kenneth Stice of Zillah and James Stice of Vacaville, Calif.; and a sister, Dorothy Smith of Spokane.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant son, Russell.

The family of Donna Gribble will have a small memorial service Saturday, July 12, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Lower Valley Gardens in Sunnyside. She was put to rest with her parents, as was her wish.
