Aaron Mark Berg, 33, a lifetime Sunnyside resident, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 due to injuries sustained in a trucking accident.
Aaron was born May 7, 1974 in Sunnyside to Byron Mark and Shirley L. (Pollock) Berg. He received his education in Sunnyside and graduated with the class of 1992. Following his education, Aaron worked various jobs including, dairy work and driving truck. Since 2000, he had been employed by Canam Steel in Sunnyside as a truck driver.
He was a jack-of-all-trades with an uncanny gift for mechanics. Aaron was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying his motorcycles and trucks. He found great joy in music and in the message that the lyrics conveyed.
Aaron could do just about anything he put his mind to and, if not, could figure out a way. The loves of his life were sons, Hunter and Colton, which he cherished time with and adored.
Besides his sons, Aaron is survived by his, mother Shirley Berg of Sunnyside; one brother, Stephen Berg of Sunnyside; his sister, Rhonda Marquez (Saul) of Outlook; his grandmother, Stella Burnette of Yakima; two nieces and one nephew; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and his best friend and buddy, Jeremy Widmann. He is also survived by his former wife, Dusty Berg; his in-laws, Bud and Sandy Kern of Sunnyside; and his father, Mark Berg.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kermit Pollock; and paternal grandparents, Joe and Bertha Berg.
Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Burial will follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
