Zella Marie Ramsey, 93, of Sunnyside passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at her home in Sunnyside.

She was born Sept. 25, 1914 in Uniontown, Kan. to Ora Leroy and Winnie Jane (McVey) Wolf.

On April 10, 1937, she married Harold Robert Ramsey in Nevada, Mo. Following their marriage, they made their home in Uniontown, Kan., where they farmed until moving to Grandview in 1946. In 1947, the Ramsey family moved to Sunnyside.

Marie enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, camping and crossword puzzles.

She was a member of the Church of God.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Wyatt (Dallas) of Outlook, Arleta Shaw (Don) of Sun City, Ariz., and Debbie McIntosh (Jerry) of Sunnyside; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lester Wolf and Harold Wolf.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Robert Ramsey; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, March 6, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 7, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her memory may contribute to Lower Valley Hospice or the charity of their choice.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
