Norman Leon Hill Sr., 83, of Grandview died Saturday, March 15, 2008 in Grandview.

He was born April 23, 1924, in Russellville, Pope County Ark. to Mora "Marie" and Homer Hill.

After being honorably discharged from the Army Air Force during WWII he moved to Washington state, where he was employed at Hanford.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ella of Grandview; three sons, Norm Jr. (Marilyn) of Lincolnton, Ga., Gene of Big Lake and Jim (Niki) of Ford; two daughters, Becky Vasseur of Fargo, N.D. and June Rigby (Dean) of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one brother, Kenneth (Virginia) of Warden; 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother; stepfather Harlan Gates; and infant brother, Weaver.

Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, March 20, 2008, from 10 to 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sunnyside. A funeral service will follow at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Burial will follow at the Grandview Cemetery with military honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
