Bulldogs nip Greyhounds

Grandview's Trent Mottice delivers a pitch in the second inning with the bases loaded this past Saturday in the second game of a doubleheader with the Ellensburg Bulldogs. Mottice had a solid day, going four innings while giving up one earned run on four hits and one strikeout. The Bulldogs got eight runs while Mottice was on duty, thanks in part to six errors from the defense. Ellensburg was able to come away with a 19-1 victory over Grandview. In the first game, the Greyhounds avoided a shutout when Abel Valenzuela scored in the bottom of the fifth inning. Grandview still lost though, 26-1. Grandview pitchers gave up nine walks in the opener and committed nine errors. The Greyhounds (2-3, 2-5) will take on the Prosser Mustangs this Tuesday, March 25, at 4 p.m. in Grandview.
