Bos aces No. 9 at Black Rock

Sunnyside High School senior Justin Bos, three days before donning cap and gown, was awarded a graduation gift by the golf gods.

This past Tuesday the lanky SHS senior scored a hole-in-one on Black Rock Creek's ninth hole. He was playing the championship blocks that day, recording the ace with a 6-iron on the 190-yard, par-3 hole that requires lofting a shot over a fairway pond.

Bos's playing partners who witnessed the ace were Chandler Luther and Andrew Schutt.

The hole-in-one rounded out his front nine score on Tuesday to a 4-under-par 32.

A two-time WIAA Class 3A State tournament qualifer, Bos has been recruited to play for the Columbia Basin College men's golf team this coming fall.
