Linda Davila, 52, of Sunnyside went to be in the arms of her Heavenly Savoir Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Feb. 5, 1956 in Mexico to Margarito and Apolonia (Aparicio) Chavez. She received her education from Sunnyside High School and worked as a self-employed bookkeeper in the music industry.

She enjoyed dancing and cherished time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Eliseo Figueroa; her children, Monica Sanchez, Ruby Jo Davila, Billy Jo Davila, Myles Alvarez, Nathan Davila, Eddie Davila and Alejandra Davila; 11 grandchildren; her parents, Margarito and Apolonia Chavez Sr.; and nine siblings, Jesse Chavez Sr. (Lydia), Hector Chavez (Michelle), Adelita Flores (Rudy), Margarita Chavez (Adrian), Phillis O'Cana (Gil), Javier Chavez (Rosie), Margarito Chavez Jr., Rojelio Chavez (Suzie) and Israel Chavez.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gregorio and Petra Aparicio Sr.; uncle, Gregorio Aparicio Jr.; nephew, Jesse Chavez Jr.; and niece, Jennifer Chavez.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be today, Nov. 7, 2008, at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
