Eloisa E. Casas, 71, beloved mother and wife, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday Sept. 12, 2008.

She was born May 24, 1937 in Rodriguez Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Inez and Benita Esqueda.

She was a faithful member of Iglesia El Calvario for 49 years. Throughout her life she served in numerous capacities as Sunday school teacher, president of the woman's ministries within the local church, their section and the district. Her life's passion was to witness to others about her faith. She found great joy in visiting and praying for those that were ill. Her giving spirit led her to share her abundance with neighbors, friends and family.

Her greatest joy was sharing in activities with her grandchildren and most recently her great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Raul Casas; her children, Janie (Mario) Palomo, Raul (Wendy) Casas, David (Dollie) Casas, all of Sunnyside; grandchildren, Patricia (Horacio) Herrera, Megan (Jerry) Alvarado, Darrell (Mary) Palomo and Brandon, Krystopher and Melody Casas; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Benita Esqueda; and five brothers, Juan, Evodio, Reyes, Raul and Armando Esqueda.

She was preceded in death by her father, Inez Esqueda; and brother, Oscar Y. Esqueda.

Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday Sept. 16, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m., with an evening service (Spanish) at 6 p.m. at the Neighborhood Assembly of God in Sunnyside. Funeral services (bilingual) will be held Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Neighborhood Assembly of God in Sunnyside. Burial will be in the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.
