Mary Ann Jones, 66, of Salem, Ore. and a former Washington state resident, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2009, at her home in Salem.

The Spokane native was born July 2, 1943. She was the daughter of Ann Winkler and the late Ben Winkler.

Mary graduated from Pasco High School and attended Columbia Basin Community College in Pasco.

Mary was a member of the Tri-Cities Chapter of ABATE of Washington and the Salem Chapter of Ladies of Harley.

Mary loved riding motorcycles with her husband and their many friends for several years.

She also enjoyed planting beautiful flowers and house plants.

She had a joyous personality that people were automatically drawn to.

She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Duane "Fingers" Jones, whom she was married to for 28 years; her mother, Ann Winkler of Soap Lake; a daughter, Stacey Mabrey of Elk Grove, Calif.; eight grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and many, many friends;

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shannon Rose Walker.

Graveside inurnment service will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Grandview Cemetery.

Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements.
