I was just reading the record of the city council meeting from this past Monday night. I was reading where Jim Restucci recused himself from a vote because his family had land in that vicinity.
How amusing that is being he has never recused himself on the council per the airport when his mother-in-law and boss are on the planning commission and they talk back and forth. And he even went to her instead of the planning chair for a special meeting. Hypocritical, possibly?
Then once again this council changes their minds on this home consortium. How many times has it been that they vote something in and then change it? I imagine (Carol) Stone, Restucci and (Theresa) Hancock will also put the blame on former City Manager Bob Stockwell for this.
Now our invincible interim City Manager Jim Bridges says the city will have $500,000 left from the Monson property bond. What to do with it? Well I have a suggestion. Let's lay off five more police officers and then use the $500,000 and the savings from the wages that would have been paid those five police officers and give ALL department heads pay raises.
