Burglary suspects hold Mabton teen at gunpoint

MABTON - Three male subjects reportedly broke into a home in the 100 block of Lenseigne Road near Mabton early this morning (Wednesday). Once the suspects were inside, they allegedly held a 19-year-old male residing at the home at gunpoint as they took items from the residence.

All three suspects were reported to have had guns and were described as wearing blue bandanas, according to sheriff's officials.

The victim told Yakima County Sheriff's deputies he was hit on the head before the suspects fled the scene in an unknown vehicle at approximately 12:30 a.m.

The victim did not need medical attention, and the incident is under investigation.

Yakima County Sheriff's Office Chief of Detectives Stew Graham said anyone with information about this case is urged to call the Yakima County Sheriff's Office at 509-574-2500.

Also since yesterday, Lower Valley residents have phoned the Yakima County Sheriff's Office to report a cold burglary, an accident, a sex offense, an assault, a domestic violence situation, two suspicious situations and a suicidal subject.
