Michael Eugene Davis, 60, of Anniston, Ala. died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, in Anniston.

He graduated in 1967 from Sunnyside and in 1992 from Jacksonville State University.

He retired as Army First Sergeant, where he served as a bandsman with 22 years of service.

He worked 15 years with the State Employment Office Department of Industrial Relations.

He was a member and choir director of the Lorean Presbyterian Church, Association of Armed Forces Retired Military Musicians.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye Davis of Anniston, Ala.; a son, Malcolm Davis of Anniston; two daughters, Maryanne Marvin of Pensacola, Fla. and Margaret Stokes of Monterey, Calif.; a sister, Sheryl Pelliter of Washington; two brothers, Larry Davis of Hodgenville, Ky. and Byron Davis of SeaTac; four grandchildren; one niece; and four nephews.

The family will receive friends in the church one hour prior to services.

Memorial services for Michael Eugene Davis will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Korean Presbyterian Church with Rev. Chan-Woo officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anniston Korean Presbyterian Church, 440 Noah Medders Parkway, Anniston, Ala. 36206.
