Holiday dinner for Mabton seniors on for this Sunday

MABTON - The 37th annual Christmas holiday dinner for Mabtonites, age 50 and older, will be served up this coming Sunday, Dec. 13, at Artz-Fox Elementary School.

The holiday meal is sponsored by the Mabton VFW, with help from numerous community volunteers.

Meal time is slated for 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. All current and former Mabton residents, who are at least 50 years old, are invited to the free holiday feast.

This year's menu features roast turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, salad, vegetables, beverages and for dessert, pie.

Seniors unable to trek to the elementary school on Sunday can arrange for home delivery. Community volunteer Shannon Pierce said meal orders can be placed with her by contacting her at 894-4689. Those requesting the meals be delivered to their home on Sunday afternoon are asked to call Pierce no later than Friday evening.
