Heriberto Saucedo, the teenager accused of killing 16-year-old Chelsie Stoneking of Grandview, will be tried in adult court.
That's according to Yakima County Juvenile Court Deputy Prosecutor Jared Boswell.
Boswell said Saucedo will be charged with murder in the first or second degree and because he's 17-years old, the seriousness of either charge automatically moves the case to adult court.
Yakima County Coroner Jack Hawkins said Tuesday Stoneking was suffocated, had blunt head injuries and multiple stab wounds. One stab wound cut her aorta artery, he said.
Hawkins said it's uncertain what injuries came first or what injuries she succumbed to. "All three could have killed her," he said.
Stoneking was found early this past Sunday morning at her home in the Petteyville Trailer Court.
