\Chelsie Amber Stoneking, 16, of Grandview entered into rest on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at her home in Grandview.

She was born to Edward and Jolene (Reaves) Stoneking on Nov. 17, 1993 in Sunnyside. She was raised and educated in Grandview. She was a sophomore at Compass High School.

Chelsie enjoyed singing and dancing and always liked being well dressed with great looking hair and makeup.

She was looking forward to going to prom. Most of all, she loved being a mother to her son, Quincy, whom she treasured dearly.

She set high expectations and goals for herself and planned on make a good life for herself and her son.

Chelsie is survived by her son, Quincy Stoneking, who was born on April 13, 2009; her father, Edward Stoneking of Mabton; her mother, Jolene Stoneking and her partner, Jose Esquivel of Grandview; her brother, Damian Stoneking of Grandview; her grandparents, Judy Gamett of Grandview, Clifford Reaves of Puyallup and William and Ilene Stoneking of Mabton; her uncles, Jeff Stoneking and Brian Stoneking, both of Mabton and Leon McCombs of Prosser; and her aunts, April Martinez of Grandview and Cheri McChern of Yakima.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Rayden Esquivel, who died on July 3, 2009; her great-grandmother, Beulah Cook; and second cousin, "Aunt" Angie Mata, who died in 2009.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Prosser Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at 11 a.m., at Prosser Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Prosser Cemetery.

Any memorial contributions made will be used to help care for Chelsie's son, Quincy, may be sent in care of Prosser Funeral Home.

Prosser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
