The charred remains of an adult male, believed to be between the ages of 15 and 25, were discovered yesterday (Thursday) in a grape vineyard on Arrowsmith Road near SR-241.
Yakima County Sheriff's deputies received the call just after 2:30 p.m. They determined the victim to weigh approximately 135 lbs. and the height to be 5'6".
Because of the condition of the body, the ethnicity and other identifiable features are undetermined.
Sheriff's office officials report the cause of death is yet unknown and an autopsy will be conducted, but has not been scheduled at this time.
