GRANDVIEW - A new business has set up shop in the Mike Bren-owned Vineyard building in downtown Grandview, only these ladies won't be serving up your favorite latte-their business is nutritional supplements in the form of Herbalife products.
Nutricion Familiar operators Ines Fajardo and Maria Sanchez set up shop a couple of weeks ago. Through interpreter Maresa Fajardo, the women said that they chose the Vineyard building because of its visibility in the heart of downtown Grandview.
"It's a good place. People always pass by here," Sanchez said of the former espresso cafe. Fajardo added, "From the outside, the inside looks nice and it makes people want to come in."
Bren revamped the building a couple of years ago, adding hardwood floors and carved doors with a grape theme.
Through the younger Fajardo, the women said they had heard about Herbalife some time ago and decided to try it themselves. The results on their health have been so good, they say, that they wanted to share it with others.
"It's for anybody, the whole family. Men, women and children," said the older Fajardo.
Many people associate Herbalife with weight loss supplements. The women operating the Herbalife dealership said Herbalife has products that will boost weight loss, but there are also products that facilitate weight gain and healthy weight management.
Herbalife offers a wide variety of products-not just vitamin-like capsules, but also protein bars, healthy teas and snacks, like roasted soy nuts. There are even Herbalife skin care products and shampoos.
Nutricion Familiar is open Mondays through Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m.
