Daniel Amaro Sr., 48, of Seattle died Saturday in Seattle.

He was born in Toppenish. He worked at Seattle City Light as a crew chief.

Survivors include four children, Sofia Amaro, Daniel Amaro Jr. of Seattle, Patricia Amaro of Sunnyside and Jessica Ruiz of Jacksonville, S.C.; 11 siblings, Frank Amaro Jr. and Cecille Amaro, both of Seattle, George Amaro of Oregon, Joe Amaro of Burlington, Fernando Amaro, Mary Fortier and Sally Chavez, all of Toppenish, David Amaro of Spokane, Lucy Mora of Zillah, Linda Amaro of Bellingham and Vicky Amaro of Sunnyside; and 40 nieces and nephews.

Viewing and visitation will be held Sunday, March 1, 2009, from 3 until 8 p.m., with a Recitation of the Rosary at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at the Zillah Cemetery.
