Post-holiday shopping

Grandview Rotarians created a post-holiday shopping opportunity this past Wednesday, by hosting an auction at their regularly scheduled meeting. Here, Grandview High School student Cheyen Schenck holds up a lantern while Rotarian Al Fiedler serves as auctioneer. The purpose of the auction was to raise money for a Rotoplast mission Tom Lathen of Sunnyside will undertake in March to China. Rotoplast transforms the lives of children with cleft lip and palate deformities by providing free surgery. Proceeds will also benefit a Frisbee golf addition at Grandview's Dykstra Park. All told, Grandview Rotarians raised $400 during the meeting.
