Veterans dinner planned

GRANDVIEW - The Grandview American Legion will be holding its delayed Veterans Day dinner this coming Saturday, Jan. 17, at 6 p.m. at the Grandview Senior Center.

The dinner is free to all veterans and their families who wish to attend, although donations will be accepted for the post's kitchen stove project for the senior center. The American Legion is trying to raise $10,000 to replace the stove in the Carl L. Stevens Senior Center in Grandview.

The dinner will recognize the 2008 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year recipient, Heroism recipient, Boys State representatives and the Eagle Scout of the Year who was named as the state winner in 2008.

Reservations are required. Please call 882-1984 no later than Thursday, Jan. 15.
