Rita E. Schreck, 63, of Sunnyside passed away Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by family and friends.

She was born in Norfolk, England on Sept. 16, 1945, and moved to Sunnyside in her 20s.

She was a housekeeper for many years and loved gardening and animals. She always looked forward to family functions and helping others.

She is survived by her mother, Edwina Stebbings of England; sons, Peter Hall of Clarksville, Tenn., Mark Hall of Yakima, Gary Hall and Stephen Schreck of Sunnyside and Jason Moore of Grandview; daughter, Linda Hall of Sunnyside; brothers, Bob, Barry, Derrick, Clive, Brian and Trevor Stebbings, all of England; sisters, Janet Sinz of Tacoma, Mary Meleco of Georgia and Pearl Reeve and Brenda Rose, both of England; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her pups, Sweetie, Chippie, Hollie, Lily and Muffin.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Stebbings.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Sunnyside Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Relief Society room. Interment will follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
